Red, white and green now fly above the Michaelian Office Building. Westchester County Executive George Latimer raised the Italian flag and hosted a celebration in honor of Italian Heritage Month.
Latimer said: “Italian Heritage Month is a time to honor and celebrate the profound contributions of the Italian-American community to the cultural tapestry of Westchester County. This event provided a wonderful opportunity for the community to come together and recognize the lasting impact of Italian culture, history, traditions – and enjoy some great Italian food.”
The flag-raising ceremony was led by Latimer and featured the Italian national anthem, followed by the raising of the Italian flag.
