Census 2020 is coming, and Westchester County Executive George Latimer kicked off the County’s 2020 Census Campaign to ensure that every Westchester County resident is counted. Latimer was joined by local municipalities who have their own Census Complete Count Committees, Census advocates, community-based organizations, college students and more at Pace University, to stress the importance of a full and complete count for the 2020 Census.

Included in the County’s efforts to promote the Census is a robust public awareness campaign in both English and in Spanish, which includes a series of public service announcements (PSA’s), each one focused on a different target audience for the Census. The second PSA focuses on Renters.

Watch the second video, “The Census and Renters.”

The second PSA features Timothy Foley, Executive Director of The Building and Realty Institute. Foley’s organization is focused on building affordable housing in Westchester, and ensuring that those who rent have access to all the resources available to them. Whether you have been renting in a home for many years, live in transitory housing, live in an affordable housing unit or illegal housing, you must still be counted in the 2020 Census.
