memorialfieldApril 2, 2019 -- In a packed auditorium at Graham Elementary School in Mount Vernon, Westchester County Executive George Latimer held a public forum on the future of Memorial Field. Latimer was joined by consultants from Woodard & Curran, County Legislators Lyndon Williams and David Tubiolo, Mount Vernon Mayor Richard Thomas, and Mount Vernon Councilmembers Andre Wallace and Delia Farquharson. The event was an open opportunity for Mount Vernon residents to share their concerns, and ask questions about the future of Memorial Field.

Westchester County Executive George Latimer said: “Memorial Field means something to me. I sat on that field during my High School graduation, and listened to music legends like James Brown. But the bottom line is this – we want to get this project done. Memorial Field has sat idle for far too long, and the residents of Mount Vernon deserve to be a part of the process to restore it to what it once was.”

The forum began with a short presentation by Woodard & Curran, followed by an open question and answer segment to the panel. If you were unable to attend the meeting but have a concern you wish to be addressed, please email by April 30.
