County Executive George Latimer Cheers On Westchester’s Own Iona College As March Madness Begins

“As we all do our best to prognosticate the results of the upcoming NCAA Tournament games, here locally we have a lot to be proud of. I trust all of Westchester will join me this Friday night in supporting Westchester’s own Iona College Gaels as they take on the college basketball power-house the University of North Carolina Tar Heels. Coach Tim Cluess, Senior Rickey McGill and the rest of the Gaels have proven time and time again that they have what it takes and play their best ball when the stakes are high – as four consecutive MAAC championships is no small feat. We look forward to them making us all proud as they shock the world (and their brackets) on Friday.”
