County Executive George Latimer Statement On Hanukkah

December 2, 2018 – “The story of Hanukkah is one of bringing light to darkness and enduring hardships to come together. This lesson is still supremely relevant today - as we live in times where our differences should be celebrated, not used to pull us apart.  My belief is that the more we as a people strive toward that ideal, the more light we can shine on darkness. As Westchester’s Jewish residents begin to celebrate the Festival of Lights, I wish all who celebrate a Happy Hanukkah.”
