November 15, 2018 – “Wintry weather – either snow or sleet depending on your location – will be hitting us here Westchester later today. I urge residents to take some simple precautions in an effort to keep safe. If possible for the commute home, leave extra time and use caution when driving since snow and freezing rain are in the forecast for today’s ‘drive time.’

“Many Westchester school districts have already announced early dismissals for later today, be sure to drive safely near school buses bringing children home. Check with your local school district to see if and when your children will be dismissed.

“As always, the County and its Office of Emergency Management will be closely monitoring the weather. We are prepared to assist our communities in responding to this or any winter storm.”
