November 5, 2018 – “One cannot travel anywhere in Westchester County without seeing the influence of Native Americans. Long before settlers found their way to the Hudson Valley, many tribes called the region we now live in home. From Chappaqua to Mt. Kisco to Mamaroneck to Ossining – and others – Westchester communities both in the north and south portions of this County can credit their namesake to the tribes who lived here before us. This November, it is important to remember that all heritages play a role in making this region what it is.”
