(White Plains, NY) – “It is times like these that we must unite. No matter the political climate, there is no room for hate because of race, creed, political beliefs or any other personal trait that makes up who a person is.  In honor of the victims murdered in Pittsburgh and Kentucky, this past weekend I directed all County buildings to fly their flags at half-staff.

“We cannot – and must not – stand for this. Our nation is built upon our role as a ‘melting pot’ of the world. We are a nation of differences that make up one common ideal. The sooner we remember that, the sooner we can face, and overcome, our common challenges.”
