July 17, 2018 -- "I intend to sign the Christopher Ridley Memorial Act to design and build a memorial dedicated to Christopher. Christopher was a brave Mount Vernon police officer was who killed when he sprang into action to intervene in a fight on Court Street. Ridley was not in his uniform, but nonetheless acted as a police officer would. His death was untimely, his actions bold and we will now forever remember his bravery.”
