June 4, 2018 -- Westchester County Executive George Latimer has announced the appointment of four new members to the Westchester County Airport Advisory Board. The Board serves as the liaison between the community and County government. It is the role of the Board to meet with interested parties, public and private, and make recommendations to the County based on any findings.  

Latimer said: “I am excited for the opportunity to start fresh with the Westchester County Airport Advisory Board. With the new leadership on the Board along with public input, we will be able to develop a plan that meets the needs of all the stakeholders at Westchester County Airport.” 

A number of the Airport Advisory Board members are residents who are required by law to live in specific surrounding communities, including the Town of Rye, the Town of Harrison, The Town of Mount Pleasant, the Town of North Castle and the Town of New Castle.

The newly appointed Airport Advisory Board members are as follows:

Robert Fleisher of Chappaqua, is the Principal of Perch Lake Capital LLC, with expertise in structured finance, raising capital and providing advisory services for both large and small entities involved in banking, insurance and asset management. Fleisher was recommended by the Town of New Castle to serve in this seat.

Tracy Levy of Pleasantville, has been a Westchester County resident for the past 14 years. Levy will represent the views of hundreds of homeowners who live in her community, and are striving to be a part of the solution for a peaceful coexistence between the Airport and County residents. Levy was recommended by the Town of Mount Pleasant to serve in this seat.

Peter Schlactus of Rye Brook, is the Managing Director and Practice Leader at Risk Strategies Company. Schlactus is responsible for nationwide transportation and logistics practices for more than 55 employees. Schlactus areas of focus include executive management, business development and technology innovation. Schlactus was recommended by leaders in the Town of Rye and Village of Rye Brook to serve in this seat.  

Jonathan Wang of Purchase, is the Co-Founder and Executive Director of Citizens for a Responsible County Airport. The coalition consists of nine environmental and community groups. Wang serves in an at-large seat.

Earlier this year, County Legislator Nancy Barr of Rye Brook was selected by Board of Legislators Chair Ben Boykin to serve on this Advisory Board; new DPW Commissioner Hugh Greechan has also begun his service as an ex-officio voting member.
