ArtsWestchester logoSept. 15, 2017 - County Executive Robert P. Astorino today announced an innovative partnership with ArtsWestchester to better inform residents about all the cultural events available to them each month.

Starting today, news and information about the arts will appear each week in The Brief, the county’s free e-newsletter. The full version of ArtsNews, the signature publication of ArtsWestchester, will appear on the first Friday of each month. On subsequent Fridays, The Brief will feature links to the “Top 5 Arts Picks,” which highlights the week’s most exciting arts, music and cultural events.

“Thanks to the great work of ArtsWestchester, our residents have access to a whole host of events, performances and cultural experiences throughout the year,” said Astorino. “With this expanded partnership, we hope to help spread the word even more about these great offerings for our residents young and old to enjoy.”

ArtsWestchester CEO Janet Langsam said the first step to enjoying the arts is knowing where and how to find them and the partnership with the county is designed to do just that.

“As New York’s largest arts council, we work to promote all things arts and culture in Westchester,” said Langsam. “This new partnership with County Executive Astorino will help us provide arts opportunities to more Westchester County residents and visitors by directing them to a digital issue of our monthly guide to the arts, ArtsNews and to our Web site artsw.org.”

The Brief is distributed each Friday by the Westchester County Government Communications Office. It contains a wide range of news about county government initiatives, services and programs. Getting on the distribution list is free and easy by completing the form located on the county's home page.
