County Executive Robert P. Astorino has joined forces with the Board of Legislators on the annual state legislative package – essentially a wish list from the county government to the state.

The Joint Legislative Package deals with several important issues facing the county, including pension reform.

"Westchester County officials are united in one over-arching theme here: our property taxpayers are already overburdened and Albany first of all must do nothing to make this worse," said Astorino. "Beyond that, our state government must make structural changes to such things as pensions to ease this burden now and for the future."

Astorino thanked county Legislator Michael Kaplowitz for working with the county executive's office in a bipartisan way to make the joint package possible.
