Operation Prom Dress GiveawayAs the 2015 prom season approaches, high school seniors are already thinking about what they will wear to prom, and if they can afford it. Operation PROM is encouraging teenage girls looking for an inexpensive way to get a high-fashion dress for their senior prom to register today for the 11th Annual Operation PROM dress giveaway taking place March 20 and 21 at the Westchester County Center.

Registration is required to receive a dress. In addition, a special $1 dress sale will take place on Sunday, March 22 that is open to the public – supply is limited.

"Operation PROM has become a cherished institution in Westchester that helps thousands of underprivileged teens attend their prom each year" said County Executive Robert P. Astorino. "Westchester County is proud to continue its support of this great program, and is grateful to Noel for her ongoing commitment to our community and kids across the country."

The county, a long-time partner of the organization, helps to publicize events, provides storage space for the gowns and allows the free use of the Westchester County Center for the annual dress giveaway.

Operation PROM has helped alleviate some of the cost of attending prom by collecting and distributing gently used as well as new dresses donated by companies and designers cleaning out their inventory. The organization also recently began arranging free tuxedo rentals for high school seniors – courtesy of an on-going national partnership with the Men's Wearhouse. To register for a free tuxedo rental, visit www.OperationProm.org. Tuxedo vouchers are limited per high school so early registration is encouraged.

Several of Operation PROM's corporate sponsors include Jovani Fashions, The Dessy Group, Ralph Lauren, JLM Couture, and Dress Barn.

With families all over the country struggling to make ends meet, Operation PROM continues to grow each year. The organization currently has chapters in nine states including, its home base, New York in addition to New Jersey, Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Texas, Tennessee, Michigan, and California.

"We are thrilled about the expansion of Operation PROM," said Noel D'Allacco, president and founder of Operation PROM. "Prom is a rite of passage, and every teen should be able to attend regardless of their financial status."

D'Allacco and her team of chapter directors are extremely dedicated to the expansion of Operation PROM. All of the donated resources and funds are redirected back into organization – no one takes a salary.

Teens who are interested in the dress giveaway are encouraged to pre-register as soon as possible. To do so, visit www.OperationProm.org or contact Noel D'Allacco with any questions at  or (914) 672-3070.
