Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino invites representatives from municipalities as well as members of the public to attend the county's Shared Municipal Services Expo 2013 on Thursday, Sept. 26 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Westchester County Center in White Plains.
Admission and parking are free.
Important: Attendees must register by Sept. 24.
While walk-in registration is permitted, online registration is strongly encouraged.
The event, which was last held in 2011, is an opportunity for local governments, schools and other districts to find out how they may be able to save taxpayer dollars and increase efficiencies by collaborating with county government to share services.
Purchasing, printing, information technology, planning and public safety are among the areas where sharing opportunities exist. Attendees will be able to talk directly to representatives of various county departments to discuss the needs of their government or district.
