Consumer Department Has Moved to Michaelian Office Building
In a continuing effort to stretch taxpayer dollars, County Executive Robert P. Astorino announced the Department of Consumer Protection is moving as of Tuesday, Nov. 13, to the Michaelian County Office Building, 148 Martine Avenue, Room 407, White Plains.
Due to the move, the department will have limited public hours Tuesday, Nov. 13.
The move is part of Astorino's ongoing effort to save taxpayer money by better utilizing the county's existing office space. In September, he announced the Department of Health would save approximately $2 million in rent over the next five years by relocating several health programs into county-owned buildings.
