Westchester County Executive Robert P. Astorino announced that the Westchester Industrial Development Agency has approved $30,000 in sales-tax exemptions for London Luxury, a New Rochelle-based business that plans to renovate, expand and add jobs.

"In this globally competitive environment, companies such as London Luxury could relocate anywhere," said Astorino. "But Westchester County is determined to help companies grow, adding quality jobs for our residents. We will continue to do whatever we can to make Westchester a great place for business, and we are delighted that London Luxury has chosen to grow in Westchester."

Founded in 2000, London Luxury develops, designs, sources, manufactures and markets home products for licensed brands and major retailers across North America, including Arm & Hammer, Claritin, Elizabeth Arden, The Sharper Image, Macy's, Bed Bath & Beyond, Costco and JetBlue Airways. Some of its key products include bed pillows, sheet sets and comforters as well as bath towels, rugs and robes, among other items.

London Luxury's headquarter is located in New Rochelle. The company plans to renovate space and relocate to a much larger space with additional offices and design studios. The project includes the purchase or lease of business equipment, office furniture, fixtures and equipment.

The IDA project approval will save the company $30,000 by exempting state, county and city sales tax on construction and equipment.

"Working with the Westchester IDA helped London Luxury to remain competitive and maintain jobs as we grow the business," said London Luxury. "It's clear Westchester County is committed to helping us further our goals and move to the next level."

London Luxury plans to add an additional 12 full-time employees and two part-time workers in the next year. These will be additional jobs.

In addition to the Westchester location, the company also has more associates worldwide. Sourcing and quality-assurance offices are located in Shanghai, Istanbul and Delhi. The company's showroom is located in the Home Textiles Building on 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
