knickspresserNov. 18, 2016 - County Executive Robert P. Astorino welcomed the Westchester Knicks new mascot, Hudson, as he kicked off the team’s 2016-2017 season with manager Allan Houston today. Hudson will be at the Westchester Knicks first home game on Saturday, Nov. 19, and he will be wearing his team jersey, number 914.

Astorino and Houston also drew attention to the new additions that were made to the team’s home court in the County Center, which include a new and larger court floor, an LED ribbon that wraps around the entire arena, high-definition video boards for the lobby and the arena and new courtside seats. These updates to the County Center are to enhance the fans’ experience as they watch Westchester’s home team play.

“We are very excited for another Westchester Knicks season here at the County Center,” said Astorino. “Our County Center looks like a brand new arena. In fact, it looks just like a mini Madison Square Garden.”

The Westchester Knicks will also host various theme nights and promotions throughout the season. Fans have the opportunity to win prizes and participate in themed game nights such as “Youth Sports Night,” “Senior Night” and “Super Hero Night.”
