NBAA 2016Sept. 20, 2016 - Several thousand representatives of corporate aviation businesses converged on Westchester County Airport last Thursday for a very good reason -- Westchester County means business.

The 2016 NBAA Regional Forum brought “current and prospective business aircraft owners, operators, manufacturers, customers and other industry personnel together for a one-day event at one of the best airports and FBOs in the nation. The forum incorporated exhibits, static displays of aircraft and education sessions into one-day events to help introduce business aviation to local officials and prospective owners and operators, and to address any current issues in the region.”

Westchester County Executive Rob Astorino thanked the National Business Aviation Association for hosting the event in Westchester and extolled the myriad and virtually unique benefits of doing business in a county minutes from New York City and with no-hassle airport access, a county workforce with the highest education level in America, and a significant concentration of “C-Suite”executives who regularly use non-commercial business aviation to travel to and from meetings around the country.

“Westchester is proud to have been selected as the location for such a prestigious event, and prouder still of what we offer the 21st Century business community,” the County Executive said. “Events like this mean jobs across the board, be it the private jet designer, the local flight crews, or the chocolate-chip-cookie entrepreneur who lands the contract to have his or her product aboard the flights. All of them share in the benefits of making Westchester their business and family homes.”

The County Executive urged Westchester businesses, or businesses thinking of locating in Westchester, to see how the county can help them thrive by calling William M. Mooney, III Director of the Office of Economic Development at (914) 995-2900 or sending an e-mail to .
