golfopen16March 16, 2016 - County Executive Robert P. Astorino took an official inaugural swing at Sprain Lake Golf Course in Yonkers to open the 2016 season at the six Westchester County-owned golf courses throughout Westchester.

“Westchester is arguably the birthplace of golf in America, and we’re a regional destination for the game,” said Astorino. “Our great county courses and the staff that maintains them are yet another example of what makes Westchester such a wonderful place to live, work and especially play. All six of our courses are open and in great shape. So jump on the new reservation system from anywhere, get a tee-time, and we’ll see you out there.”

There are a variety of upcoming projects for all six courses, including improvements in fairways, cart paths, bunkers, irrigation and golfer amenities.

Reservations can be made online at golf.westchestergov.com or by calling or visiting the golf courses.
