MWBELeapEventCounty Executive Robert P. Astorino today announced that Westchester-based minority and women-owned businesses (MWBE) will have a unique opportunity to learn how to do business with Westchester County and construction company C.W. Brown/LeChase at the 2016 Leap Toward Success With Us event.

The free program will be held Monday, February 29 from 8-11 a.m. at Mercy College, 555 Broadway, Dobbs Ferry, in the Main Hall Building/Lecture Hall. There will be networking sessions from 8-8:30 a.m. and 10:30-11 a.m.

"We are very pleased to present this important program where minority and women-owned businesses can connect with one of the largest construction companies in the region," said Astorino. "The continued success of our small businesses is key to Westchester's economic growth."

Based in Armonk, C.W. Brown/LeChase is one of the region's premier construction companies with projects throughout the Hudson Valley, Manhattan, Albany, Binghamton, Connecticut and New Jersey. C.W. Brown/LeChase executives who will be presenting at the program include Tom Porter, Vice President and General Counsel; Michelle Keller, Director of Risk Management and MWBE Compliance Officer; and Sherry Jackson, Corporate MWBE Outreach Coordinator.

Presenters from the county will include William M. Mooney III, Director of the Office of Economic Development; Carrie Mobley-Johnson, Senior Advisor, Office of Minority Women-Owned Business Enterprise; Chief of Staff George Oros; and Michael Lawler, Senior Advisor to the County Executive.
